School Newsletter

The School newsletter is emailed home fortnightly and is the major communication link between the school and parents. It contains the Principal’s and Assistant Principal’s reports, information and advertising about school events, reports on such school activities, such as excursions, theatre visits, musical activities, art exhibitions, debating and sporting events. Student achievements, both in and out of school, are recognised in the newsletter.

There are reports from the different classes and subject areas, as well as regular updates on the school calendar of events so that parents can keep abreast of activities which are relevant to them.

Catholic Education Parent Charter

Parent involvement

St Patrick's values the contributions of parents and the wider community in the education of our students. Parental support with particular learning programs is requested through the school newsletter or through direct communication with your child's teacher or relevant coordinator. You are encouraged to become involved in this way with the education of your child and their peers. We encourage parents to assist:

  • Regularly in the classroom with listening and reading, working with small groups and assisting in Art or Physical Education activities.
  • At events or excursions that are organised by the staff member coordinating the event.
  • At events such as Mother's Day or Father's Day stalls, Book Week activites or for our annual St Patrick's Feast Day.

Community Council

The Community Council provides the opportunity for members of the school and Parish community to support the mission of Catholic education. The Council is your voice in the school community. The members are your representatives, and they support the Principal, the Parish Priest and other staff in providing leadership and direction for the school. Working with the Principal and staff, the Community Council members meet twice each term. Read more.
